Happy Halloween!!!

We had a vision of a monster family. A devil mom, a werewolf dad, and a little half breed baby.

What would this offspring look like? Red like mom? Hairy like dad?

Well this little creature turned out to be a perfect blend of both.
Our little monster enjoyed terrorizing her parents this Halloween!
But dad knows how to take control.

So out we went with coats on to enjoy this Halloween!

Happy Halloween!

Autumn Tuesday

We spent some time at the arboretum today. Just found a little spot for an hour or so. I showed Amira a chestnut, let her feel bark, and she found a rock to put in her mouth. A pair of hawks flew over us, and the colors of the trees were beautiful.

A Moment passing

My posts are getting further apart, and yet, the time between seems even more fleeting. This autumn is going by unnoticed not because of a lack of color on the leaves, but because I can't keep track of the days in it. Amira is taller every day, and more attentive. But my little girl as another set of ear infections. The second set in about a month. She complains so little, I hope we haven't missed more in the past. But in this moment, we are playing at home, and she is reaching for anything she can grab.

Home Today

We are home today, Tuesday. Amira was sick yesterday and is still under the weather, (with the weather changing-I don't know how that expression applies). So we hope to relax and occupy ourselves with the activities we have in the house. However, I will encourage Amira to stop poking the cat with the random objects she has in her hand:)

A Busy Long Weekend

We enjoyed a long weekend together. There was the sale on Saturday, Irish Heritage Festival on Sunday, and stroll about town on Monday. The festival was nearly directly behind our house, so we enjoyed some Irish themed music all day. We went out, watched some jigging, saw some green hair and Amira even got into the spirit of things with her little stomp stomp dance. There are hints all around that Halloween is coming. We have to make a decision on a costume for Amira, and the get to making it. Last year we were sewing the day of!

RISD Sale

Last night I was busy putting the finishing touches on my recent group of little hats.  Adrian helped with getting the little posts to prop the blue head displays.  He did so much to help me prep, I am very lucky!  We had a great day in Providence, not only reminiscing about my time there, but also meeting so many people and talking about my work.  It was such a wonderful experience! Thank you to everyone who came to see me, and thank you to everyone I just met today.  I hope everyone enjoys their new hats, paintings, hair clips or pillows!  Now I just need to get busy making more!

More prep for Sale

I have been busily preparing for the sale this Saturday-and I have been busy busy at my "day" job as well. ("" around day as I work some nights and weekends as well.) We are preparing for a big November.
So I am getting TIRED zzzzzz.
Of course, it is also getting darker around here, and rainy, so maybe I am just heading into hibernation?
Anyway sleep or no. More to do. But a long weekend coming:)
